IWMA, Institute of Wellness and Martial Arts, is located in a lush green environment, surrounded by water bodies of Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore. This institute was founded by Master Krishna Kumar, named Master KK, with a passion to bring awareness to martial arts and wellness.

IWMA provides a platform for all age groups alike to learn TAICHI, TAEKWONDO, and YOGA. Our aim is to improve one's health, and lifestyle and develop mental and physical fitness. 

​

Master KK aims to spread the wisdom and wellness practices of Martial Arts and to help all who wish to learn and explore deeper into the culture.

​

IWMA is an ideal location for studying Taichi, Taekwondo, Yoga, Philosophy of martial arts, and Meditation.

Born in 1965 in Bangalore, Master Krishna Kumar, named Master KK, has vast experience of forty years in the field of Martial Arts.

 

He began his journey training in Taekwondo the Korean Martial Arts in 1980. He continues to train and teach Taekwondo at his Dojo, imparting training to hundreds of kids, teens and senior students. He is a 4th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo from World Taekwondo Federation, South Korea, 

 

In 2006 he had the opportunity to learn Yang Taichi, the soft form of Chinese Martial Art, learning the empty hand form and later completing the training in sword and sabre. He continues to teach students of all age groups at various centers. He is a trained Master from the Fu Sheng Yuan Taichi Academy - India Chapter.

In the year 2009 drawn to the spiritual aspect of Martial Arts he found refuge in Yoga, and the journey began in Ashtanga Yoga Practice. His spiritual journey began then and continues to influence his journey in Taichi and Taekwondo. After several years of yogic practices he became a certified Yoga Teacher from Bihar School of Yoga and holds a Diploma in Yoga from the Sanskrit University, Bangalore.

Master KK is a long-distance runner and shares his knowledge of running with his students. Being a dedicated athlete, trains students in speed and strength training, athletic speed system, interval training, and agility exercises.

​

With this vast knowledge and support from his masters, teachers and fellow students, he started the Institute Of Wellness and Martial Arts. He is the Master Trainer and Head of the institution.
